PROCESS: I bought a quiver and some old arrow shafts, and I gathered feathers to make the flights with. Working on the flights, there was soon a heap of feather fragments on my studio floor. I thought it looked like the fragments of flint found on archaeological digs, indicating the place where they used to make their tools, so I decided to keep it as a sculpture, the arrows on their way to being arrows, frozen as if for thousands of years.
